White had been quite good with matching tires to get efficient pull, weight distribution, from the 1962 debut of PFA, through the WFE years. The advantage of the 18.4-38's, being it shifts more weight forward, before you begin rear attached implements pulling the rear drive wheels down. With 86 HP, 18 speed geardown, you have a mean pulling machine in the field. Dropping to 34's costs change over money, to have less pulling ability. The logical consensus is always needing more. Drop the step two inches, and enjoy the pulling power of the 2-85PFA. Good luck.
