After looking for about 3 months, I decided on a CubCadet 3206,with a 54" deck. Does an excellent job of mowing. Hydrostat drive, locking diff., Hyd. lift, front and mid PTO. Mower is easy to take off and on. I mow approx. 2 acers with it. Uses a lot of gas when worked hard. Dad has a G1800 Kubota w/ a 60" deck. I think the Cub has a nicer finish on the mow job, but am less tired after riding the kubota. Had 318 JD, when traded it in on the kubota, was like going from bettle to Caddie. Cub runs more like the JD. Also, the Simplicity is supposed to be the top of the line in mowing. My Cubs deck is like on old simpliciy we had when I was a kid. TEST DRIVE and buy from a dealer you TRUST and LIKE, thats at least half the battle in being satisfied with whatever you buy. NOW if i could just get one of those 3cyl Diesel kubota motors into my Cub, that would be a nice tractor/mower.
