Bryon , Here is my experience. John Deere does a nice job of mowing. One of the best mowing jobs I have seen. When I went to buy a new mower , I had it in my head to buy a John Deere. So I started looking at the different John Deere lawn tractor models. My wife kept saying that I should look at others makes like cub-cadet. Finally I agreed , just so that I didn't have to listen to it any more. I knew in the back of my mind that I was going to buy a John Deere. That was until I actually looked at the Cub-Cadet. The Cub-Cadet was much better and heavier built. Also a little less money. Guess what! I bought a Cub-Cadet. That was back in 1994. Never had a problem with it. Never regretted not buying a John Deere. Between the time I had bought my Cub-Cadet and now , I've herd many people tell almost the same story I had just told you. Almost as if they rehearsed my story word for word. Like the other post say , John Deere is way over priced. One more thing. Buy a three blade mower deck if possible. My two blade deck does just fine. But if I were able to get a three blade deck in the size I wanted , I would have bought a three blade. From what I have seen and herd , I guess Kubota makes a very nice dependable mower also. If I were going to buy a new mower today , I would look at Cub-Cadet and Kubota.

They were horrified (we lived by the railroad), my mother thought the worst: "He’s been run over by a train, he’s gone forever!" Where did they find me? Perched up on the seat of the tractor. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
