"Pullers" are tractors used in competitive events where tractors of various weight classes compete to see how far they can pull a 'sled', compared to other tractors of a similar weight category. There are categories for antique tractors, modified, open class, and 'out of field' class. Out of field are regular farm tractors of various weights that have no modifications to influence horsepower, compared to factory specs. (supposedly!). The sled is constructed to apply additional weight onto the pulling tractor as it goes down the length of a dirt track, usually by a weight which is winched up an incline on the sled as the machine is pulled forward by the pulling tractor. Modern version of the picture/mug "Bragging Rights" of a John Deere and Farmall hooked drawbar to drawbar by a chain, as was common in farm neighborhoods 50 years ago.
