To set your timing you must have the piston at top dead center. You can do this by removing the plugs with a slotted screwdriver on the flywheel cover. turn the crank using a socket and ratchetin the big hole and watch for a T mark in the little hole, once you have the piston in the T.D.C position you must put the cam with the lobes down. Then look on the cam sprocket for a . or two - across from eachother, If its a . put it facing straight up. If its the two - then put them parellel to each other with the engine fins. Then put in the sprocket bolts. Be sure to turn engine by hand first when done.
