I KNOW for a FACT, that as early as 1952 in Korea we wefre using METRIC. Just ask any old Cannon Cocker or BB Stacker who was there. For a truth I can not tell you how long the 105 and 155 Milimeter Cannons have been areoun BUT Note they are both metric. Also down in the Infantry we had the 90 and 106 Milimeter recoiless rifles. Even the maps have been in metric since before 1950, hence the difficulty in many youngsters coming into the service, to understand and pass the Army Map Test. I was with the 30th Engineer Group (Topo Survey) when we mapped Alaska in the late 50's and they were done to the Metric Scale. Incidentally I was in the Old 110th Transportation Boat Company assigned to the 30th for support.
