Hi Vince, Thanks for your response. You are right on about the problem. Turned out to be rust, and I had already gotten it off per your suggestion. Mine came with the original manual, i'll check it for lubricants and get back to you. I'm thinking about leaving the wheel weights off. I only want to use the tractor for parades, and shows, and I think without the weights will be better for the tires and will look okay too. Besides, those weights weigh 150 lbs. apiece. I am in Ardmore, Oklahoma, southern part of the state situated right on Interstate 35 halfway betwwen Oklahoma City(state capital) and Dallas, Texas
