I don't have a 886, but my uncle has a 986 that I drive right often. I'm not sure what engine it has. As for the cab, no complaints. He's had the tractor since new, no problems other than regular maintenance and regualar wear and tear items. As for the transmission, people claim they get hard to shift, but they can be adjusted. My uncle has had his since new, and the shifting is not as easy as car of course, but no problems, just like any other tractor, they all take a getting used to and getting a feel for it, but they aren't bad in my opinion when shifted correctly and not thrown/forced into gear. I've spent a fair amount of time in a 1586 disking and the cab in that one is the same and the shifting is the same. I know you didn't want second hand knowledge, but this is the best I got, and my neighbor has had 886 since new and he's never had a problem at about 4000 hours on it now.

I’m par
