Just in case I am not the last person on the planet to discover "flex pipe" for exhaust systems, I thought I would bring this stuff to your attention. The flex part allows it to make curves. It is generally used for "temporary" repairs, although it will outlast the standard exhaust pipe. It is available in many diameters - 2" flex pipe goes OVER 2" exhaust pipe, and is held with standard exhaust clamps. It is sold in most auto parts stores, and is cheap, approximately $3/ft. The store will cut and sell you the length you need.
