You fogot to mention what tractor, so you won't get much real help. Generally there is a bearing out there, some might have a brake involved. One of these items is shot & needs to be replaced. Perhaps it didn't get greased, but if it smoked, you'll have to do more than just grease it now - it's shot. --->Paul
