Homesteader, what have you done so far to isolate the failure? Bent camshaft, as the others have said, doesn't sound right. Bent crankshaft maybe, but even that sounds a little much. Seems like something closer to the mower would have busted first. Have you tried turning the engine by hand? I recall you were going to do that. Even if it's a bent or busted crankshaft, it's not a total loss. If you have some mechanical aptitude, and it don't take much, you can probably get it running again, but you gotta be prepared to learn and to get real dirty, and maybe even get some cuts, scrapes and mashed fingers. You will need a service manual and probably a parts manual, and since I know very little about Olivers, I don't know where you'll get those, but there are folks here who do. I've included a link to the Oliver board below. Most of us are more than willing to help you figure things out if you get stuck and are hoping you get it going again. Good luck.
