Thanks for the reply guys. Its a tough choice weather to buy new or used, as it seems a new tractor does not lose much of its value over time. I do however like the look of some of the older tractors, but I do not like the hard metal seats. I have been looking at a Ford 3100, MF 1240. Do all tractors come with the hydraulics installed for a loader, or is this something that has to be installed as well as the loader? I am not quite sure how this works. Also, for a backhoe, do these run off of the rear PTO, or another set of Hydraulic lines? I know I want to go diesel, as it seems these 3 cyl. engines can really handle to work, while being very economical on gas. Are there any tractors I should stay away from? Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. Seems the more I learn, the more I realize how ignorant I am on this subject... - Ira
