OK! The old tractors are pretty durable and fairly easy to understand. It's hard not to jump to a conclusion before you have all the facts, but proceeding systematically usually works. Glad it worked out so good and inexpensively. I would suggest addressing the need for a shear pin or slip clutch. And check out the brush hog--it may not be as bad as you think either. Unless it is a real cheapie, they really are designed to hit some bad stuff and survive. Glad to be of help!
