gatractorman: I quit a great engineering job 33 years ago and went self employed. It workedout well but I did NOT rely on just wages. I invested in local realestate too. That pumped up my retirement funds. Do NOT forget to get a solid health insurance Company like BlueCross\BlueShield or medical expences can suddenly kill you. It's up to just you now. Good luck. Gene
