I don't know about your tractor ,but on several FARMALL M's I have known of ,the shifter gets wore on the end and slips out of place ...If you can remove the lever and using a large screw driver move the shifting forks into neutral....look at the shift lever ,to see if it is showing, ware......build it up by welding it and grind it smooth again ...this will fix the FARMALL......
