Hi, I'm assuming that the T020 ferg hydraulics are based on a similar design to my Ford 2N. The hydraulics have a draft control mode. On later fords like the 8 n there was a lever under the seat that switched the system from draft control to position control mode. With position control the rear implement sits where you put it. With draft control the system was designed for items like plows, and would automatically lift the unit if it felt the tractor slipping, or if the unit was going in too deep. I found with my 2N (Draft control is all I have)that depending on where I put the lever at my side, it would start to lift the mower automatically if I hit a bump, What I do is push the lever as far forward as possible and past the stop. If the ferg has a position control option, use it for mowing and you shouldn't have any problems. Another trick which works, is to pull the pin that connects the spring on the 3 pt system to the top link. I think that the feedback through the spring is what causes the system to lift. Hope this helps. Lyle.

In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
