one major thing to consider would be oil cooling. I had a JD 4010 that I tried to use for a power ssupply for a 8 inch hydraulic auger. The hyd. oil over heated because JD uses a restrictor to limit the speed of the cylinders used on implements. If there is no restrictor valve( some are adjustable some are not) gthere should be no reason why the ford would not work. Were you thinking of a commercial or home built? I built my own but I have a separate power source( a two cylinder Lister diesel with a 12 gpm Vickers pump works great.) so if you are going to build your own( a great project) I can point out a few things to do and alot of things not to do(ojt=on the job training) Dave
