Having problems with a new replacement pump. pressure is causing the pump shaft seal to be pushed forward up and out of its seat in the pump housing and letting the fluid leak into the crankcase.I have pulled the pump back off once and found the seal up next to the pump drive gear.I realigned the seal and seated it back into its proper position. I bolted everything back up and put in new fluid and it pumped all the fluid out again. What am i missing here? Maybe a snap ring for holding the seal in place? Or is it a spacer missing between the housing and the gear? If anyone out there can help me please let me know. I am a mechanic but i am not familar with this tractor. It is a 1953 model Super C Farmall.I Am located several miles away from this unit so i could use some information before i return to work on it.Thanks.
