Hi Broice Everyone will recommend the type of tractor that they own because thats what they have and thats what they are comfortable with. Before you purchase anything, make a list of your needs. After you've done that, determine what option on the tractor best fits that need and then figure out what kind of tractor best fits those needs. What I'm getting at is for example... You say you want to move dirt, now look at loader requirements. First, does tractor have external hydraulic pump or does the loader work off internal pump (very slow and weak in comparison). Second, does the tractor have a heavy duty front end for supporting loader? (better for wear and tear). Does tractor have powersteering? (creature comforts). Most of these requirements can be found in most industrial tractors. Pulling implements and mowing... 3pt hitch and live pto a must. Parts availability is a big concern also... Most parts can be found mail order if time is not a major concern however it is always convenient to have a dealer nearby. A line of tractors that comes to mind that fits all your needs would be the Massey Ferguson industrial line. For example, I have the MF 202 Workbull and it came with MF 102 loader and Davis backhoe (also has 3pt hitch with live pto). Backhoe is removable and is not a little 3pt hitch mounted unit). Prices vary but range between 2k and 3k for a running unit. Anyways, research first and buy once.
