57HP 4WD Would be a model 420.However desciption is to vague to diagnose.Could be tansmission interlock problem.Take the bellhousing inspection cover off and have somebody inspect that knows cluthes.How far away are you from Alpena?

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
