Hey I bought a pto water pump from Northerntool.com Heres the link for the pump http://www.northerntool.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1058&prmenbr=6970 My tractor a 1984 massey ferguson 240 pto turns clockwise facing back of tractor also red arrow on pump indicates that pump shaft is turning right way.The problem is its pumping backwards.pushing water though 1" outlet and pulling though 5/8 outlet.Anyone that may know why this is please let me know Thanks K Smith Hers a copy of a email I recieved from NT (Hello. When looking at the back of the pump, the shaft will be on the other side of the pump away from you. It will be rotating clockwise. If you are facing the shaft with it between you and the pump housing the shaft will be rotating counterclockwise. All of this item will work like the one you received. I can set up a return for this item if you wish. Thank you. T Brown Northern Tool & Equipment Co.
