Hey Folks - Been a while, trust everyone is doing fine. House is coming along . . . I must be living right here lately! Very elderly gent I befriended long ago has asked me to care for his land and plant him a summer garden with his IH 406? with all 2 point fast hitch implements. In exchange I can use his land for gardening, hunting, work ethic for the boys, etc. I now have access to over 100 acres of land with approx. 50 acres tillable land. Been considering the following - Get with all my neighbors (4 families) and grow a BIG garden we could all use. Since I am the only one with ag equip. me and the boys would do the tilling, planting, cultivating etc. In return they would pay for seed, fertilizer, and fuel. Come harvest time they could come and harvest thier own. Upside - I quit sinking $$ into a U-PICK Costs are prepaid Dedicated niche market More tractor fun for me and now the boys Downside - Insurance for others to be on this land Failure to pay prior to planting season Unwanted or undesirable crops after planted Thanks in advance for your participation.
