I bet a LOT of the jobs an M would do in 3rd & 4th gear that M would do in 2nd & 3rd to keep engine RPM up. I bet the Liftall still works too. Dad used to have a neighbor that ran His Mixmill with an F-30 Farmall with a 396 Chevy Big Block in it.... He'd even grind feed with it.... not just unload.... Sure had a wicked road gear!... Formerly a hot-rod pulling tractor.
