I don't have any info on the SM V8, wish i did. All i remember is the tractor was in Mn. at the time the pict. was taken. I have talked to a couple guys that put Ford Escort diesels in tractors, and really liked the way they worked out! I've seen a local guy had a Allis ?? that had a GMC V6 in it. Sure had some torque. I have two spare 6.2L diesel engines, and i keep thinking one of them should go into a tractor. I'm just too busy to tackle that job any time soon, but maybe in the future?? Here's another pictcture, this one of a WD. I've seen this tractor a couple times at shows, and it really runs nice. I believe the engine is a Chevy 327. Robert
