I don't know about the parts being interchangeable at all. I have an 8n and am somewhat of an enthusiast so I read alot of the books. I am about 99% sure that I read in one of my books that Harry Ferguson designed his tractor so that a great many of the parts would NOT interchange with the 8N. He did this because he wanted to make sure that Ford didn't make any money off of his tractor through the purchase of replacement parts for the Ferguson. The differences aren't readily noticeable but sure will be when you can't find parts. Anyway walk softly. I wonder if there are any Ferguson web sites??
