If it is in fact a Penske or Ryder truck you should be able to get a copy of the service history. Both of these companies have very good P.M. programs. As far as the mileage goes, if the truck was properly maintained, it should run another 2-250000 miles with out any major problems assuming you keep up the maintanence accordingly. The 5.9 is a good reliable engine. Maintenance is minimal, oil and filter changes, and valve adjustments and the addition of coolant conditioner if it is not equipped with a water filter. Also bear in mind that this truck, depending on the GVW ,falls under the jurisdiction of the DOT, so you will have to keep the entire vehicle up to snuff to avoid any further surprises down the road.
