Hello, I had a 1952 Chevrolet truck that did that once, and I got rid of the truck before I could fix it, but I was told that it was a leaking seal, either on the transmission or the engine. If it's on the engine, then the main bearings are probably worn, and while the tractor is in half it wouldn't hurt to drop the pan and measure the journals of the crankshaft to see if they are in specs and replace the bearings. The disk will have to be replaced because it has oil cooked into it. The pressure plate will need to be degreased if it is still useable, and the flywheel will need to be degreased. I haven't actually experienced this other than the truck, but I saw a lot of oily flywheels when I worked in a shop resurfacing flywheels. Dennis Benson
