Yes 30 weight oil. To remove you have to take out the pipes on the side so to gain clearence. Drive shaft colar slides off pump shaft and drops out bottom. You will need a jack or lift of some sort as very heavy.
To test first check fluid level then make sure the drive shaft is connected and turns pump shaft.
you can put a 1500 psi. pressure gauge on the outlet pipe.
Start and activate control lever you should get about 800 to 1000 psi. over the relief.
