Stacks are easy to change. My 80 has the "glass air cleaner". I'm sure the oval muffler would fit right on. In fact I've seen a few pictures of 80s with the oval muffler. The only way to know for sure is too see what engine block or head is on the tractor. I don't even know if a number is visible. Most of the changes were internal, or just very minor. Casting numbers (I think): Old head-R1331R New head-R2703R Old Block-R1330R New Block-R2702R You could see if the dash is painted black-the major identification identifcation feature of the later 820s, BUT, if it has been repainted, don't trust what you see. I've seen an 80 with a black dash! Good luck, Brandon
