I don't know to much about this system but: I had a friend ,he passed away....he was a retired enginer, he moved back to the farm in centrial Indiana... About 30 miles north west of Indapolis.He built a huge house into the side of a bank....The house was "U" shaped, with the back into the bank,but still about 10 ft. above ground in the back,the sides slowly tappered down to ground level in the frount...Heavy, insulated ....The back and sides that you could see was vinal sided (white - sun heat).....The front was stone from a creek that ran through the farm.....Now the good part....he drilled tuo wells out in the back.....the system pumped water into the heating unit in the house that extracted the heat from the water.....The air condition unit worked te same way...what I do remember is the unit pumped the water from one well through lots of pipe in the ground into the house and then returnrd back out to the other well....We spent enough time with them,I know it works .....I saw his utility bills and they were a fraction of mine..ask around until you find a contractor that knows what I am talking about....If I was ever to build a new house this is the system......no wood to cut,split and no ashes to haul out......sorry about the long post,but I feel strong about it......
