Not jokeing; just trying to stir up some productive conversation not a war. First of all take note that we were talking about engine size (power). Check the specs such as bore, stroke, and compression ratio. There is no difference! I did mention fueling. As you mentioned "cam profile" is a likely difference as would be cam timing. All other mechanical issues are really non-issues. The only difference in the various pistons used from the 80 on up to the 830 is minor construction improvements. The later skirts were much heavier and as these changes were made they were given different part numbers but all dimensional spec are the same. Did you know that the 720 and 730 actually used the same pistons as the 820 and 830 with one small modification. I think the 720/730 and 820/830 also used the same injector but I'm not certain of that. I have always wondered why a lot of people get so excited about a "black dash 820" and I tend to go against popular rumor until someone logically explains to me the difference. I'm hopeing someone will do that or confirm my suspicions. Harvest has just started here in Manitoba. No early this year with the cool spring we had. What part of the continent are you from? Best wishes.
