hmmmm,either setup would probably work...air cooled VW parts are getting kinda expensive too though...a big Kohler would be nice...leave the governor on though as they don't like being wound really tight...another engine alternative is 1 from 1 of those itty-bity econobox cars...they got really tiny 3 & 4 cylinder engines & are real cheap at the yards...not much call for those as most insurance co's consider them throwaways...have seen em used to run generators & waterpumps...work pretty good & its not hard to put regular carbs & distributors on em to get rid of the computer...just a thought...
