Just because someone doses something sleazy doesn’t make it right or legal – look at ENRON, WorldCom, etc. You’re correct, in some parts of the country it’s done that way. I’ve even heard of auctioneers lowering their commission for a specific item when the owner has the winning bid. If it’s disclosed I’m ok with it - If not it’s wrong. In local farm auctions it becomes noticeable pretty quick as most people know each other. Most auctioneers will simply say the price is too low and unless they get a reasonable bid will simply move on. YT Mag and EBay provide a place for buyers and sellers to come together and sell/purchase items at market price with out the ability to size up the bidding competition by observation or asking a friend. Absent this I think it is extremely important that we all be vigilant and let the bidding public know when something less then honorable is going on. Since most auction sites allow the seller to set the min. bid price, there is no rational for the seller or friends to bid up the price. It’s simply wrong and should be punished. In my book it voids the auction and the purchaser should not feel obligated to pay for or receive the item. Tar and feather comes to mind. I would encourage YT Mag and Ebay to ban(for life) anyone who starts an auction and dose not deliver the goods or bids up the price from using the site – selling or bidding. If the seller has a friend bid up the price, then the friend should also be banned. One exception would be if the bidding fails to reach the min. bid established at the beginning of the auction.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
