Steve, If the 2020 is a 66, 67, and I think 68 model; it has the pump mounted on the timing chain cover and there's a shaft driven off the timing gears. The seal between the pump and the timing gears has probably popped out -- so you get tons of fluid dumped into the crankcase. The seal costs under 10 bucks at your JD dealer. You can press a new one back in and use some loctite to hold it. A new pump is over 1000 dollars. A rebuild is probably more than you need. Just pull it off, take it apart, and press in a new seal. Had this happen to my 1020 once. It's not fun, but the fix is fairly easy. good luck with it... Steve
