Don't know anything about the Pony. The PTO on the Cub is non-standard size, turns in wrong direction, and not located in the best of places for most generic attachments. If you get one, try to either get it WITH a mower, or be prepared to pay more for a mower than something with standard PTO. Cubs seem to cost more than stuff that is slightly bigger. They are "cute" looking, and can more readily to smaller yard work than a bigger machine, so that is probably why the demand is there. They certainly are cooler to own and more useful than a Murry or other Japanese manufactured yard/garden tractor. An A or Super-A will probably cost the same or even less, and even an H might be around the same price as a Cub, so if you can get away with the bigger size, maybe the Cub is not the best choice. In the end thought, it comes down to what do you want to satisfy whatever bell is ringing inside you.
