That question was asked last winter on the forum here and a few of the responses said that the old timers used to use a coat of high temperature aluminum paint on the surface of both sides of the gasket. They said to give it about 3 coats and drying between each of the first two coats. When the third coat is still tackey, install it and torque it down. Never tried it myself but some said it worked.
