Calcium cloride will not rust a rim unless it gets on the rim. My rule is! If you put on new tires get new tubes. Old tubes don't pay. I've had some of my tractors for 26 year. All of them have calcium cloride. I never had to get a new rim.
Old tubes that leak is the reason rims rust.
