I am looking for rear tire weights for an 1983 Massey Ferguson 290 with 28 inch wheels w/16.9 tires, also they have the cast P.A.V.T. (Power Adjusted Variable Tread) rear wheels. The operators manual listed under accessories, weights and attachments, two types of rear weights. 1.) One is 75lb.x 22"O.D. - Used with adapter 14.5" B.C. (what does B.C. mean?) 2.) The second one is 97lb.x20" O.D. - Used with Adapter 12" B.C. Then listed below is 17.75" B.C. Does any one have pictures of MF with these weights on the rear tires? Can you tell a site that has them? They seem a little light (pound wise) for this size tractor, did you have to put multiple rear weights on it? I don't want to use water in them. Water weight with calcium chloride gives you about 750 per tire. I already had some that ate through the valve stems, but it took 28 years to do so on another tractor. Thanks for you time. P.S. can you get axle extenisons some where out there?
