serial numbers

i have just brought a old cockshutt home,it was used as a forklift.there is about 5 coats of paint on it,and i would like to know where to look for the engine s/n also tractor s/n.once i know this i will be able track down the year and model,so i can order a service and parts manual.the tractor works great but i would like to restore it.close as i can figure by the pictures i have found she is somewhere between 1947 and 1952.thanks for any help.
