The total hours accumulated on the engine will be important in your decision. Diesel or gasoline, both are good tractors. Which one is best for you depends on several factors, the first of which is the purpose. Yours is loading and making hay, so how many hours of wintertime work are anticipated? If your answer is few, a diesel will be a pain to work with unless you have a heated garage to park it in. How many hours of full throttle summertime work? If your answer is many, a gas will eat fuel. Diesels are trouble free in relation to a gasser but expensive to repair. You get the theme. Write yourself a balance sheet with pros and cons for each engine to help with your decision. You'll receive many replies to your post wih lots of experienced information to help your balance sheets.
