At Night put bags over their hole when they are quited down. Be careful since there are usually two holes, ( just like ground hogs) , though the second hole is usually hard to find. Then, as it warms up the next morning, disturb the ground around and the yellow jackets will swarm into the bags. Seal of the bags and take them away. Next day, use sevin in bags placed over the hole to finish the job. Alternatively, check with your local extension service. There are bee businesses that want nests to remove for serum development. He should do it for free since he makes several hundred dollars for a pound of hornets.
