All of the independent research done on lubricants come to the same conclusion; that is, if the container bears the API (American Petroleum Institute) approval stamp no additional additives are needed. The oil in the can has everything it needs to do it's job. The biggest problems with additives is that they block the micro-grooves that allow for proper lubrication.
