1st and probably only cutting is in the barn

Howdy, Well, after all was said and done we got all the first cutting put up this week. With the drought that S. Ohio is now in I don't know if there'll be a second cutting this year. Just have to wait and see. In any case, now I know what Allan's hay season is usually like. Hay did produce good for us though. Got better than a hundred bales to the acre in most places. Alot of folks are putting in half crops this year or less. It'll be interesting to see what the hay market does this winter. I've already just about sold out of one part of my first cutting. Never had that happen before. Here's a photo of the cutting rig. 1958 John Deere 720 and a 1209 JD haybine.
