MF 65 diesel front loader

Rebuilt cranknut to hold a tight shaft with the other end attached to an outside hydraulic pump. After the tractor runs for a few minutes the crank nut backs out stripping the threads. Since engine runs clockwise, why does it back out? The original shaft loosely connected to the cranknut with two short prongs as they inserted on each side of the cranknut, but it would only last about a year, usually the prongs broke. Any suggestions. Down for to long.
