You need spark at the right time, air/fuel at the right ratio, and compression. That's all an engine needs. I'm a lousy engine mechanic, but it helps to keep it simple, break it down into the basics. Are you getting a spark from the plug wires? Are you getting fuel (not water) through the carb? If you have good strong spark, you can pull the air cleaner hose & shoot either into the carb, just to see if it fires. Then it's probably a fuel problem. Just keep breaking it down to simple things. It could be stripped cam gears, or loss of compression, or any of the bad things. But only rarely. Start with the simple things. Got spark, got fuel? --->Paul
