The (muratic acid-old name) sold in hardware stores is dilute (hydrochloric acid-new name same stuff). It is used for many things including washing the excess mortar from bricks after laying. Please learn how to handle it prior to using, and yes, it is a good echant if used properly. Improper use may result in disfiguring burns, blindness, and severely damaged lungs from breathing fumes and mist.
