You need to check for any air leaks between carb and head, manifold, gaskets, etc. An easy way to do yhis is to spray a LITTLE flammable carb cleaner or propane along the intake system from the carb to the head, if the engine changes speed you found your leak. If you don't have a leak then rev the engine up and put your hand over the carb intake to create a strong vacume. Remove your hand before the engine dies and keep the throttle wide open. Repeat a couple of times, you are trying to suck the junk through the plugged jet in your carb. This works about 1/3 the time. If it still doesn't work then disasemble the carb and clean out the jets-holes in the carb. Good luck,Mike
