I didn't use nuts & bolts, but a few handfulls of gravel did the job. I capped the tank and had the kids roll the tank around in the yard till they were tired of the "game", then I took over and finished the "task". A through flushing with soap n water cleaned the tank out. Kerosene or any oily substance will be difficult to remove completely to insure good adhesion of the sealer. Guess I could've taken the tank to a radiator shop for final cleaning but--- they cost money.
