Well, I got a used '83 GMC with manual hubs in about '87 - previous owner had torn up three sets of auto hubs, under warranty, and the last time, the dealer told him they wouldn't put in auto hubs, only manuals. I still am driving that set of manual hubs. Auto hubs failed last year on my wife's Bronco II, a cheap little spring washer thingy broke. Couldn't get a new one, and had to buy a set of new hubs for $250. Auto hubs were twice the price EACH. Guess what I bought!!!!
