I have recently acquired a tractor that I am trying to identify. I am brand new at this and would appreciate any guidance. It has been repainted red, not sure if that was the original color. I have found several numbers on it, one of which was on a metal tag attached to the frame on the left side. However it was painted over. I was able to make out the numbers that were stamped in it -- 20-GR2439. Could this be the serial number? Since this tag is painted, is there a good way to remove paint without damaging any pertinent info under the paint? Another number that I found was cast into the engine block on the lower right side, F400A418M. Could this be something to help ID it? There was another number, on a metal plate attached to the left side of the transmission/axle housing, 9150A. The right side of the axle housing had 12-48, USRC, 7458A on it. Do any of these mean anything or should I keep looking for more? Again, thanks for any help you can give me.
